But play all the rescues since sacrificing the spirit (always sacrifice it) is super valuable for ressurection. But also they spawn based on how far forward you go. Good for a new recollection from the first era since each kill gives a bit of xp. But do remember that if push comes to shove you can just kill everything and they eventually stop spawning. But she does less damage than the sword and is even less mobile than the shield so. If you can choke point the enemy her dance of death is handy. The scythe (unlocked after era 3) has the best level 15 ability, but other than that is mostly useful for clearing large mobs. Bosses will hit you (usually) so I just plopped her down in front and blacksmith's graced her. But frankly her main use for me was as a wall vs bosses. The Shieldbearer is great early game for slowing down big enemies and helping to stabilize zones. These are super powerful (especially with a memory increasing their effectiveness) for helping daughters in tight pinches to react faster, as well as just increasing the power of one daughter. Instead her ability is spirit haste and burst once she gets to the higher levels. The Gunslinger is good early game for cleaning up little gribblies (scavangers and the gun cultists) but don't bother investing in her attack powers. Also she is ESSENTIAL for rituals, but at the same time makes them the easiest and most trivial missions. Then just use her as a hunter killer to take out annoying enemies (ranged ones mostly). The sword is your best mid game character. On my 3rd recollection I was barely grazed the whole time because once your characters are high enough level your movement options and initiative options are just obscene.Īs for specific daughters. I started my 2nd recollection with a couple of core level 6 daughters or something, and my 3rd recollection with 3 level 10's (I got just barely past the 3rd boss on my 2nd recollection). The most important abilities are higher level starting daughters, and resurrection. I don't have much to add except that 1) You are severely underestimating the power of recollection. I beat the game on my 3rd recollection pretty handily (0 damage taken woot woot) and on my first recollection I got stomped by the first boss (I was pretty noob and didn't understand the mechanics haha). Reaching day 10 is dang far for the first recollection. Difficulty does not increase with days past, it increases between Eras, and you don't have to start all the way from the first you don't have to level your daughters from level 1 all the time either once you have reached certain levels of progress. Othercide can be hard and punishing, but it is surprisingly fair once you start achieving things (clearing bosses, moving between eras). Survival missions are actually quite easy if you plan carefully and remain in the center of the map so you can quickly get to the escape zone once it appears you don't have to kill everything that spawns in those. Rescue and Ritual missions are definitely hard if you're already struggling, but you usually have other options. Entering Burst should be a last resort, when you absolutely need to neutralize a threat that is nearby, for example just use your other daughters to protect the one that bursted. you don't need to chase them all the time. Moving depletes your AP fast, but remember that most enemies will come to you in the end, and this can be exploited. You can't kill an enemy in one hit, but two daughters can probably kill one before the he moves. Remember to equip memories as well and activate whatever Remembrances you have available to give you an advantage.Īfter that, it all comes down to tactics. This is the core mechanic of the game, in order to heal a Daughter you have to kill another that you also spent time training, they aren't just cannon fodder. As they get stronger, it will be easier to clear synapses, but at some point you might need to sacrifice a daughter in the Inner Void to heal another one of the same level. You should have a pool of Daughters you are using and avoid getting hurt as much as possible while leveling them. The daughters will always be more capable than regular mobs, hence why they are outnumbered.
